This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: RNSG 1413, RNSG 1105, RNSG 1360, ENGL 1301, and CHEM 1405. Additional prerequisites include SCIT 1408 OR BIOL 2402, and PSYC 2314. A health-related work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills, and concepts. Direct supervision is provided by the clinical professional. Focus is on health promotion, expanded assessment, multi-disciplinary teamwork, communication, and the role of the nurse within a legal/ethical framework in a mental health setting.
