Prerequisites: EDCI 3310 (3 cr.) and concurrent enrollment in EDCI 3331, the two-credit-hour Field Experience. Teachers develop competence in middle grade curriculum and instructional practice with a content focus on mathematics. General principles of standardsbased curriculum, diverse instructional strategies are applied to the specific techniques of teaching and learning of middle school mathematics as a part of an integrated and interdisciplinary middle school teaching approach with a focus on using real life examples.
