Prerequisites: CSCI 2103 or 2120 and MATH 1140 or 2107 or 2111 or 2721. May not be used to satisfy the computer science elective requirement for the curriculum in Computer Science. A study of the modeling, design, and implementation of database systems. Topics include the entity-relationship model, the relational database model, object-priented database models, also data normalization, data description, and retrieval using query languages such as SQL, and database software development using current CASE tools.
