Examples are taken from the work of Marie de France, Rabelais, Ambroise Paré, Descartes, and several baroque dramatists. Meets Early Modern Requirement in French major. Modern Studies: These courses cover a wide range of historical, literary, and cultural moments and movements that have marked France's development since 1789, the beginning of the French Revolution.
