Examines the nature of literacy as a reciprocal relationship between readers, writers, texts and culture. Students learn the practical and theoretical foundations of classroom teaching of second language reading and writing skills. Same as FR 449, and GER 449. 3 undergraduate hours. 4 graduate hours.
