Political philosophy is the search for "the best way to live"- what Socrates and Plato called "the Good Life". This ithe foundational course of political science. It approaches the problems of contemporary life, as experienced by the individual, from a "big picture" understanding of humannature. This draws from anthropology, psychology, and world history It brings to bear on the present the wisdom of primordial, classical, modern, and post-modern political philosophy.
