In this course, we will study the geography of the Pacific Islands or Oceania, a geographic realm that encompasses the regions of Melanesia, Micronesia, and Polynesia. Within this geographic realm, Hawai'i is an integral part being strategically located at the crossroads of cultural, social, economic, and political exchanges between the East and West and its Pacific Island neighbors.
