A comparative, interdisciplinary perspective on the effect of Industrial and post-Industrial Era change on the everyday lives of working people in Latin America, Africa, Europe, and the United States. The impact of globalization on workers in the First and Third Worlds, the search for new visions and practices of citizenship, democracy, gender roles, and development will be assigned in light of labor history.
