Covers an axiomatic study of Euclidian Geometry. Introduces spherical, hyperbolic, and other non-Euclidean Geometries as well as, analytic geometry. Introduces projective geometry, planar symmetry and tessellations, fractals, and informal geometric topology. Requires exercises in the use of a computer, with Geometer's Sketch Pad and the Maple Computer Algebra System with an emphasis on mathematical proofs. Prerequisite: High school geometry or the equivalent, and trigonometry or precalculus (MAT H 350).
