A survey of hardware and software used for interactive computer graphics, with applications to various areas such as business graphics, art, and CAD systems. Topics include graphics hardware and packages for both mainframes and microcomputers, two- and three-dimensional graphics, windowing, clipping, transformations, hidden line removal, surface modeling, solid modeling, and graphics standardization (GKS, CORE, etc.) Students should be prepared to spend considerable time outside of class at a computer or terminal on homework assignments and the final project. Prerequisites: CPSC415 and MAT H355.
