3 credits Deals with how the mind processes information - what mechanisms are at work in memory, problem solving, language (written and spoken), and decision making. This course will examine different ways of measuring the mind and its operations, from looking at what people say they are thinking about to brain imaging techniques. Involves many in-class demonstrations and exercises. Prerequisite: Nine credits in psychology.
