Emphasizes communication skills and the problem-solving method combined with the utilization of research as foundations for practice. Prerequisites: SWK 276 Native American Studies or SWK 343 The African American Experience; and SWK 236 Cultural Diversity, SWK 334 Human Behavior and the Social Environment II, SWK 335 Human Behavior and the Social Environment III (may be taken concurrently), and formal admission to the social work program.
