3 credits A study of chemistry as it pertains to the world around us. General principles of chemistry will be introduced using a minimum of math. These principles will be applied to the chemistry of consumer goods in lecture and in lab. Appropriate for non-majors. Lecture and discussion 3 hours, laboratory 1.5 hours per week.
