2 hours. An introduction to engineering computations using the Matlab software package. Interactive numeric computations, data analysis, graphing are presented with engineering applications. Matrix, vector, and scalar computations are covered. Elementary math functions, trigonometric and hyperbolic functions, and complex numbers are used. Techniques for solution of linear systems of equations, interpolation and curve fitting, roots of polynomials, and numerical integration and differentiation are presented.
