4 hours. This course is intended to introduce those students with a major or a minor in a foreign literature and language to Literary Theory and Criticism. Students will be using different types of theory to analyze texts in English and in their target language. This course will be required of all foreign language and literature majors and is recommended for those students with a minor in a foreign language. Prerequisite: SPAN 202 or permission of instructor. Students may not retake this course for credit as FREN or GRMN 360.
