2 hours. Derived from the Sanskrit word yuj, "yoga" means "union". To practice yoga is to reunite body, mind, and spirit. This course will focus on the first of the Three Stages of Kripalu Yoga practice. Stage One introduces yoga postures (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayama). Special attention will be given to safety, alignment, and the coordination of breath and movement. The only prerequisite is a commitment to develop a daily practice.
