4 hours. This course examines the philosophic, scientific, and applied aspects of personality theory and research. The major orientations toward investigating personality will be explored, e.g., psychodynamic, depth-psychological, trait-factor, humanistic, and cognitive-personality models. Emphasis is placed on developing a working knowledge of each theory and methods of conducting personality research. Prerequisite: PSYC 101.
