2 hours. An advanced discussion group focusing on a variety of contemporary issues. Prerequisite: Senior Gerontology major or permission of instructor. GLBS 101 - Introduction to Global Studies and Intercultural Communication 4 hours. This course introduces students to an overview of contemporary human patterns from geographic, environmental, linguistic, socio-cultural, religious, political, and economic perspectives. From this global framework, students learn to communicate (and think) across cultures. (E)
