2 hours. An introduction to the study of rocks in the field. Maps, their projections and their construction, are studied inside. Techniques of field geology will be practiced outside and skills in using surveying equipment and making observations of sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rock are developed. Prerequisite: one geology course or permission of instructor.
