2 hours. The introductory course investigates Critical Discourse as a practice. We will examine the ways that critical discourse has operated in various academic disciplines as well as the effects it has had on methodology. Each week the discussion will be led by a professor in the field being studied. These include English literature, philosophy, psychology, and history. Through surveying specific manifestations of Critical Discourse, we will arrive at a general conception of the theoretical perspective.
