2 hours. An introduction to ASTRonomical observing techniques and data reduction. Emphasis placed on image acquisition and manipulation to determine things like the morphologies, distances, motions, and luminosities of various objects. This course is intended for students with interest in ASTRonomy and some background in physics and mathematics. Prerequisite: One semester of college level physics; pre-or co-requisite: MATH 151.
