Emphasis on understanding German culture and contemporary life through reading and discussion of short stories, articles and essays. Students are encouraged to also register for laboratory practice (one more credit). Prerequisite: GER 102I, two years of high school German or the equivalent. Cr 3. (With lab, Cr 4.)
