This course is designed to introduce mathematical concepts and apply them to solving problems in various contexts. The focus will be on mathematical ideas required by Maine's Learning Results. Topics include sets, functions, logic, numeration systems, and number theory. Students will formulate key questions, gather and organize data, discover patterns and similarities, and interpret and communicate informaton. Offered only at Lewiston-Auburn College. Prerequisite: MAT 108 Cr 3.
