Description:

This course investigates literature in relation to other disciplines, with an emphasis on how various fields of knowledge contextualize and elucidate our understanding of literary production. Topics may vary and include, for example, anthropology and drama, Freud and literature, literature and technology, and parallel movements in art and/or music and literature. Because of the diverse range of interdisciplinary studies, material is drawn from film, video, music, and art, as well as from printed texts. May be repeated for credit when topics vary.
