English 101C is offered as an alternative college writing course for students who prefer to work independently on academic writing with an instructor's guidance. The main business of the course is conducted in individual conferences; therefore, the course is more intensive than ENG 100C or 104C. This course emphasizes style, sentence structure, organization, and development. The major challenge of the course is the self-discipline that students will need to work independently.
