Contemporary theories of mass communication, the mass media, audience analysis, and the role of mass communication in society will be among the topics examined in the course. Students elect to examine an aspect of mass communication that is of interest to them, and present their findings in research papers and projects. Prerequisites: CMS 102J, CMS 103, and junior or senior standing. Cr 3.
