Astudio-based academic experience in Riga and the Latvian countryside, with on-site lectures by resident artists and scholars. The course encompasses the history of northern Europe, art history of Latvia, history of architecture of Riga, and contemporary art in Latvia. It includes studio-based instruction at the Latvian National Academy of Art. Only offered during Summer Session. Prerequisite: art foundation or permission of instructor. Cr 6.
