This course introduces students to Spanish American dramatic texts dating from approximately 1950 to the present. Among the topics to be explored are the concepts of socially-committed theater, political oppression, dehumanization, lack of communication, and the isolation of the individual from self and society. Prerequisite(s): 17 hours Spanish and written permission of instructor.
