The behavior of animals will be studied emphasizing the ecological and evolutionary significance of behavior patterns in nature. General principles and processes will be illustrated using recent empirical findings. The course consists of three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week. Field work is required. Students may not receive credit for both BIO 4213 and BIO 4254. Prerequisite(s): 12 hours of biology including BIO 1404 and written permission of instructor required.
