This course studies marine life with special emphasis on community relationships, ecological factors in different habitats and their influence on the distributions, abundances, and adaptations of marine organisms. It consists of three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week. Extensive field work, including a one-week trip to the Texas Gulf Coast is required. Prerequisite(s): BIO 2263 and written permission of instructor.
