3 credits: 2 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory Prerequisites: CIS 2223 and MATH 1043 Corequisite: MATH 1033 Basic coordinate geometry and coordinate systems commonly used in spatial information systems will be covered. This will include Cartesian coordinates, State Plane coordinate systems, Latitude and Longitude, Universal Transverse Mercator coordinates, and the United States Public Land Survey System grid. Horizontal and vertical datums will be discussed. In lab, students will work with AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop. Offered: Spring.
