3 credits: 3 hours lecture Prerequisites: MGMT 3473 and G B 3233 Principles and techniques of management in organizing, planning, controlling the operations of the firm (either production and/or service oriented). The topics will be: design decisions relating to capacity planning, product design, layout of facilities, and selecting locations for facilities; operating decisions relating to quality assurance, scheduling, inventory management, and project management. Class will periodically meet in the computer lab. Students will use computer software packages to solve problems. Offered: Fall, Spring.
