5 credits Corequisite: MATH 0143 or approval of administration Designed for students requiring a basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance. Theory and practical application in general shop safety, identification and use of hand and power tools and fasteners. Preventive maintenance is emphasized. Drive components, bearings, seals, lubrication, and pumps are introduced. This course may be transferable toward a limited number of associate and baccalaureate degrees.
