3 credits: 3 hours lecture Hands-on touch system learning of the alphabetic, numeric, and symbol keys on the keyboard. Accuracy, proofreading skills, and speed incorporated with theory and practical applications using a word processing program including letters, memos, tables, and reports. Students are expected to be keying 40-50 wpm by the end of the course. This course may be transferable toward a limited number of associate and baccalaureate degrees.
