Properties of fluids, pressure and fluid statics, fluid kinematics, Bernoulli and energy equations, momentum, dimensional analysis, flow in pipes, differential analysis, approximations of the Navier-Stokes equation, drag and lift, compressible flow, open-channel flow,turbomachinery, computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.
