Properties of pure substances, First Law of Thermodynamics, closed systems, control volumes, Second Law of Thermodynamics, entropy, exergy, gas power cycles, vapor and combined power cycles, refrigeration cycles, thermodynamic property relationships, gas mixtures, gas-vapor mixtures and air conditioning, heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiation. Three hours lecture. Three credit hours.
