Addresses the concepts and principles underlying the design and application of relational database management systems. The course provides an in-depth study of data semantics, graphics-based data modeling, relational algebra, the database language SQL, database design, and normalization theory. Projects, which typically are implemented using a current commercial database management system software, are used to reinforce most of the concepts. Dual-listed in the UALR Graduate Catalog as MGMT 5350. Three credit hours.
