Major figures in the history of art who used the camera as their medium, beginning with the nineteenth-century figures such as Daguerre and Fox-Talbot and continuing to the present. Emphasis on the analysis of photographs, motion pictures, and video works in terms of style, iconography, social history, and connoisseurship. Three credit hours.
