MA 115 - Precalculus Algebra and Trigonometry

The algebra of functions, including polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions; systems of equations and inequalities; trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions; trigonometric identities and equations; a brief introduction to DeMoivre's Theorem, vectors, polar coordinates, and the binomial theorem. Prerequisite: placement. This course is intended for students who plan to take at least MA 171 (Calculus A), but who do not need the full two-semester sequence in precalculus (MA 112, 113). MA 115 is an AGSC core course.
