Intermediate to advanced composition designed to improve the reading and writing proficiency of non-native speakers. Emphasis is placed on writing as a process. Instruction and practice in critical reading and in planning and writing in several sophisticated rhetorical modes. Students will increase writing fluency, practice focused strategies for editing and revision of compositions, and further vocabulary acquisition. Prerequisite: Mid-intermediate to intermediate ESL composition skills as determined by previous coursework or placement on the ELPT. Grading scale: A, B, C, D, NC (No Credit)
