A study of the development of Milton's thought and art as it appears in his early poems, selected prose, and later poetry, with particular attention given to Paradise Lost. This course is ordinarily cross-listed with EH 570, a graduate-level course, and will be most appropriate for advanced undergraduates. 213 471 Renaissance Drama (3 hrs) Major plays of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, including Marlowe, Jonson, and others. Excludes Shakespeare. This course is ordinarily cross-listed with EH 571, a graduate-level course, and will be most appropriate for advanced undergraduates.
