Institution:
The University of Virginia's College at Wise
Subject:
Description:
Prerequisites: BIOL 210, BIOL 215; From primitive neural nets to layer V pyramidal cells of the cerebral cortex, neural language links sensory input with motor output, coordinating homeostatic functions. Neural language will be looked at from first principles. Basic neuroanatomy and neurophysiology will be studied at the molecular and cellular levels, paying attention to genetically-based pathologies.
