Nuclear structure, terminology and reactions. Emphasis on applications including energy from fission and fusion, dosimetry, tracer techniques, gamma spectroscopy, x-ray fluorescence, neutron activation analysis and related topics. One-hour lecture each week at UT Martin with 2-1/2 days of intensive instruction and lab work utilizing facilities of Oak Ridge Associated Universities. A final written report is required. Prereq/Coreq: CHEM 352.
