Description:
Chemical, physical, and biological processes in lake and reservoir systems (nutrient budgets and cycling, hydrodynamics, phytoplankton/ zooplankton/benthic dynamics, and physical similarities and differences in lakes and reservoirs). Fall semester alternate years. Lecture 2 hours, laboratory 2 hours. Prerequisites: general chemistry, general biology, ecology, junior standing; general physics recommended. May be registered as Environmental Science 406. Credit not allowed in both Biology and Environmental Science 406. Laboratory/studio course fee will be assessed.
