Principles of classical (Mendelian), molecular, and population genetics including patterns of inheritance, genetic code and regulation of protein synthesis, recombinant DNA techniques, and evolution of the genome at the population and molecular levels. Fall, spring or summer semester. Prerequisites: Biology 122 with a minimum grade of C, Chemistry 122/124 or equivalent. Corequisite (Molecular Concentration majors only): Biology 326.
