The course will examine the assessment and development of K-12 library collections with specific attention being placed on factors affecting the collection, tools to assist in building the collection, and policies and procedures leading to the creation of a quality library media collection. Students will demonstrate the assimilation of course content through library literature research, oral presentations, written papers, and examinations of various types of selection tools.
