This is an advanced assessment class that will explore theories of literacy variabilities and the various forms of literacy assessment and instruction appropriate for K-12 classroom and clinical situations. Standardized tests, performance-based assessment, portfolios, and multiple forms of informal assessments will be examined. Candidates will apply their knowledge through participation in writing and conducting a case study through tutoring. Required for the Literacy Minor. Prereq: ED 381, ED 382, and admission to TEP or verification that student is a certified teacher. Coreq: ED 447. (fall)
