Upon completion of the course teacher candidates will demonstrate knowledge of the development, administration, and analysis of a variety of assessment tools that lead to informed instructional decisions for students with special needs, the ability to create short-term and long-term plans based on current research, and gain knowledge of the role that culture plays in assessment and instructional planning. Special attention is given to the process of referral under the IDEA regulations. Prereq: ED 341, and admission to TEP or verification that the student is a certified teacher. (Internet only; spring/even-numbered years, summer/odd-numbered years)
