This course will provide the background necessary to understand the operation of the U.S. economy. Topics will include an understanding of decision-making processes for the consumer, the firm, the market, and the overall economy. The methodology for application of these concepts to personal and social issues will be emphasized. The method of delivery will include lecture, group interaction and discussion, computerized simulations, and the use of the Internet as a means of gaining access to information sources.
