Students will explore a variety of ways information systems can be used for problem-solving. Some of the topics covered include distributed data processing, using technology to engage in electronic commerce, applying the systems approach, ethical implications of information technology, MIS, EIS, and database management. Students will be evaluated by oral and written assignments, examinations, and a final portfolio. $10 Course Fee. Prereq: COMS 101, or c/i. (fall)
